    08' RXT-X Grate....? & Washers?

    Should I get a grate?

I just bought an 08 RXT-X (new) and wondering if I should get the grate mod from the green hulk store...

    What are the benefits...?

    Is it that needed?

Also Do I need to do any Washer change on the 08 RXT-X?

(I saw a thread about replacing plastic washers???)

    Thanks so much!

The factory grate is designed to limit speed and basically acts like a brake. Ditch it and go with an aftermarket. Skoepp did a back to back test of grates on his RXT-X that is good reading. The worx, riva and r&d have all been tested and basically the riva is fastest buy a skosh (skoepp?) and the worx is the best in rough water. If your riding the great lakes I would go with the worx. It's worth 2 mph and much better handling in chop. The 08 has metal washers in the sc but there have been some failures reported on these too. You're choice to go with new riva washers.

I have a R&D RXP-X intake grate for sale. I think it'll work on the RXT-X, but I'm not sure.

    Thanks!

I only ride on lake michigan so there can be some big waves....

Worx is the best for Lake michigan then...

Do any of these make them faster from a stop or 0-60?

    easy to install???

It sure can't hurt. Any difference will be fractions of a second but hey, that could be a boat length in a race. You might also want to fill in the bolt holes on the ride plate for a little more speed gain. There's a thread on what to use and the how to in (of course) the seadoo how to section. Keep the questions coming and we'll keep finding answers. That's why were here. To help each other out. And by the way, welcome to greenhulk. Lost my manners there for a sec.
