I have a oil ? is it ok to use a brand name full SNY. oil in my non SC 4-tech or do I have to use sea-doo brand. I let the dealer do my 10 hr. service/ winterize last spring but now I have 20 hrs. so this spring I want to do it myself. thanks.

You can, and BRP recommends, a semi-synthetic motor oil in all of the non-SC motors... Ron

If you are still running the ceramic SC clutch washers then you definatly do not want to use any synthetic oils..Stick with the BRP oil..Now if you have had the clutches changed out(which is highly recommended) to the steel ones then you can use a synthetic based oil as long as its JASO-MA rated.I run Mobil 1 Full synthetic motorcycle racing oil in both my skis and have had no issues what so ever...

Snowman, his post says non sc. I think he's cool to run anything (synthetic or mineral) in the proper weight.

I too would like to start using Valvoline oil in my ski's. Is it OK to use the Valvoline 10w40 oil in my SC 4 tec? Thanks.
