proks? are they all the same?
I am going to replace my R&D aftermarket F/A with Proks. I see them at Atlantic jet, Skiworx, Ebay. I would like to think they are all the same and I should shop the best price.

No they are not all the same. They have one for SeaDoo's that fits direct, One for Kawi's that's a direct fit, and a standard fit one. Try parkeryamaha.com they had the best prices I have seen so far on these.

Skiworx charges $45 each but says they mod them to work. Skiworx has done work on my Ultra before and Steve is a good guy.
So here's the problem,
Steve can be a bit hard to get a hold of. I have know idea what he does to his Proks vs the one's at Parker Yamaha? So anyone who has Proks tell what you got and I most likely will go with who ever most people buy from.

Steve cuts out the boot a little bit so the vacuum lide still works. It's nothing you couldn't do yourself. If you get some that are not cut I'll pull one and take a pic for you.

You will have to wait at least a week to get the pick, we just had snow in kansas and my skis are still under wraps. As soon as I pull itout I'll get a pic for you.

They aren't worth the money by themselves unless you've done other mods.

Basically they are a flame arrestor....like most others with a added feature. The vortex cone on the inside helps to atomize the fuel more and supposably speed the air flow as well.
When we where racing ...these where tested....on ski's that where full SS....and did show a gain as far as overall performance. A little bit crisper throttle response and overall better consistant rpms's..
It's a minimal gain on a mod boat and probably nothing on a stock except what a aftermarket flame arrestor does..which is basically letting the machine breath better.
