    Fiberglass Repair

have been sanding the hull on 99 yamaha gp1200 getting ready to paint was hoping to start spraying friday but that may be delayed....

I have noticed scratches and like divet likes and since i am spending all this time in it i want to fill them and i want to fill them correctly. I know you can buy automotive fiberglass in a tube for repairs is that the same grade as marine fiberglass or should i go with so sort of epoxy????

Hull is not Glass...it's SMC or sheet mold compound.

    Use Marine Tex

    +1 Marine Tex it works.

I use West System Epoxy and thicken it with milled fiber (caution must use resperator as this stuff will cuase cancer) Comes out rock solid though.
