anyone happen to know where I can buy a ride plate gasket?
Also what is the best sealant to use when I reinstall the rideplate? Anyone have any tips to make sure it is done correctly.

There is no ride plate gasket. Most use Right Stuff as a sealent. All NAPA stores carry it and maybe some other auto parts stores also.

I have used right stuff, permatex ultra black, and loctite silicone sealant and they all worked fine. If i remember right the permatex is the cheapest choice. I have heard of people using black GE silicone with success also.

The only gasket i used was 1 and 1/2 cans of Permatex right stuff. Mines not leaking.

yes there is, I am not talking about the sealant used when you install the ridepate on the ski.
I am talking about the gasket in the ride plate. After the ride plate is off the ski. If you seperate the upper and lower half of the ride plate there is a grove around the coolant groves with a black gasket in it. That is the one I was looking for. Mine was leaking thus the whole reason I took it apart.
