    new gps

I've been looking for a decent gps, i was looking around and the Garmin 201 or 301 looks nice. I really just need it to monitor max speed/pace/elevation/and possibly best 0-60(or something like that). It also has to have some decent computer software I have no need for navigation. if anyone is selling one hit me up with a PM
    thanks

I use this one. No mapping but it does everything else I need it to. It's not the smallest, but it's cheap, light, waterproof, and floats. You can mount it anywhere or just throw it in your glove box; it still picks up the satellite signal.

+1. I picked up a 301 off ebay for about $100. I lost one of the pins that hold the wrist strap on last weekend while taking a 80 mph bath but was impressed it stayed on my wrist.

I just bought a 201. It mounts very nicely on the port side handle bar. I mounted it over the circular area to the right of the trim actuator.

I came off at 65 with the Garmin 201 on my wrist. Now it's in the seabed. Highly recommend mounting it to the ski....that and not coming off. My ribs are still bruised. They can be had for $80 something shipped and do everything needed for speed/waypoint tracking. Best bang for the buck fo sho.
