    Hydrodrags Rule Addendum

    http://www.apbaracing.com/rulebook/2...addendum_a.pdf

Please read this rule addendum for the Hydrodrags as it pertains to all who thought about coming and those who said forget it.

The APBA is now taking the right steps to doing the neck brace rule.....

It seems as though this link is not working

    So go to

    http://www.apbaracing.com/rulebook.html

Then go to the bottom of the page to 2009 Rulebook - Addendum A

Basically it is not mandatory for now but recommended and no specific name brand.
But in 2010 when they do make it mandatory, we don't know what type they will choose....correct?

It says reccomended for this season but not mandatory. No specific name brand cause remember the APBA does not reccomend one brand over another. Thats in there own verbage. And they will look at this the whole season to evaluate types of braces and etc. So yes 2010 I am shure it will be mandatory but at least this gives them time to evaluate different brands, styles, uses, you know all the ETC!!!

    2009 RULEBOOK ADDENDUMS
The following rule will replace Rule 17.2.7 in the 2009 APBA Rulebook for rules under Drag
Racing. The APBA will evaluate the different models of neck protection and their uses
during the 2009 season and will re-evaluate mandatory use of these devices for 2010.
17.2.7 Neck Protection - It is highly recommended that neck protection be worn by the
participants. Considering the fact that there is no safest neck protection device that will
eliminate all risks, the participants are solely and ultimately responsible for selecting a
suitable neck protection device that they feel will provide the proper safety protection for
    racing.

THANK YOU APBA I wish it didn't take a hail storm to make you rule with reason and logic.

Please, everyone....get a Dr. to fit you....A wrong fit is WORSE than no brace!
