This wouldn't happen to be the op head that was on ebay ??? If so congrats ! You beat me ! Lol

A lot of the guys on here will run the op head if they get there hands on one , i havent heard any thing bad on them . as far as the jetting , i would open the high speed jet just a bit , run it, and check piston wash.
However im not a tuning gooroo just personal trial and error so , one of the other guys might have a better idea .

The OP head is higher compression, and some think they promote detonation. I personally am running one, and don't think that's the case.

BUT, you will need to use higher octane fuel. At least 92 octane.

You may need to rejet, so keep an eye on your piston wash.

Also since it has set on shelf for yrs,be sure and check the flatness of it,you can do this with a steel (machinist)straight edge or a piece of glass for us non machinists.aluminum will swell and move if its been in non air conditioned areas .(i had 2 cylinders bored with .0035 piston clearance they sit on shelve for 5 yrs when I got ready to use the pistons would no longer fit well into cylinders,no rust or build up,just 5 yrs of summer/then winter,JMHO>Marvin

"Wash" comes from a proper fuel/air mixture that flows through the ports to wash some of the carbon off the piston. Check the pic. The left piston is dangerously lean, and the other is very safe on the fuel/air mix. A little rich infact.

Do a search for "piston wash". It's a far better way to read if you're getting enough fuel. Plug chops (spark plug reading) is IMO inaccurate

You want a nice dark brown piston dome with finger nail sized clean spots near the cyl ports. The clean spots are from fuel washimng away the carbon deposit.

An all black piston dome is running lean and needs more fuel. If left like this, it will eventually burn a hole in the piston canter.

It's better to be slightly rich, than lean.

Pistons that look like this one would be great.
