    What's the cause of my cavitation??????

    Guys I need some help on this one!!!!!!!!??????

    New wear ring but I still have major cavitation? I did get a stick caught in my pump last fall, but I didn't see any wear on impeller? I had been running with out the green pump shoe that screws into the impeller, but when I go WOT from a dead stop I'm not getting any hole shot and it just sounds like I'm not getting any thrust. Major cavitation until I get to top speed at 8200 rpms

    Any suggestions or ideas on where to start?

    what are you riding? i assume an rxt/p check the slip in the supercharger make sure the cone didnt walk up the shaft.

    Sorry guys,06 RXP stg1/2.running 14/19 Solas concord. carbon seal could do that? S/C just rebuilt with steel washers, getting 8200 rpms but only 73.9 GPS, I was getting 75 GPS before cavitation started with new wear ring.

    Check the clearance between the prop and the wear ring. It should be no more then .014". Otherwise, I say maybe the carbon seal. Also might think about repithing your prop for 8100 rpm. That would get you back the 1 mph.

    Last time I put in a new wear ring the impeller scrubbed a little bit it was such a tight fit, but on this one it went right in and it did not scrub any at all. I'll check that distance, but it should be tight with new wear ring. I don't have any leaks, but carbon seal is original with 240 hours on it.
