Is This A Good Deal On Two Skis?

    I found this on CL:

    2003 GTX supercharged - 45 hours
    2003 XP DI - 42 hours
    Double trailer & covers included
    $9000 takes it all.

It sounds like a good deal and the price is under nada. They are a bit older than what I originally wanted to look for but they both have low hours on them. Do these models have any issues with them that I should consider before looking at them? They are almost two hours away from me and I don't want to waste a trip.

    Thanks guys

I don't know where you are, but don't just look at them, ride each of them for 15 minutes or so to make sure that they hit their rated rpms and speed, don't leak and don't throw any codes... Ron

Kinda hard to take them for a ride around here this time of year. All the lakes in WI still have about a foot of ice on them right now so a good look is all I could do right now.

I wouldn't buy used skis without riding them, unless you know the seller very, very well... Ron

that is a smokin deal for an awesome pair of skis, best of both worlds there.
you do need to ride them both to ensure good operation. or inspect them super thoroughly. if you are very familiar with both skis you might be able to tell how they were maintained and how they will run, but still beter to water test... no rivers near by??

Rivers up here freeze too but may thaw pretty soon with the 40-50 degree weather this week. Lakes won't be ready for at least a few more weeks if the weather stays warm. I'm leery about buying used without a test too and may go for a new 155hp GTI if I can't find anything. The 2008 models have a decent discount right now until the end of the month.

I would have to agree with needing to ride them before you buy them.

I have a GTI SE 155 and I love it. It's great, and I'm sure they are giving the '08s away for nothing now!

I believe I know the exact pair of skis you are talking about..I was talking to the guy about the skis a couple weeks back and he sent some pictures. They looked pretty clean.
