Smile Results from my RXP-X budget build

I'm really pleased with the results and how inexpensive it was to achieve my desired results. Big props to Erik at SpeedFreeks, he did a sick job on my stock prop. I was just hoping to get some top end but he got me a noticeable improvement in holeshot.

I guess this thread is for guys that don't have deep pockets and want to keep their skis as near to stock as possible.

With the below mods the ski runs 74.4 mph at 8140 RPM with just under 1/4 tank (74.1 with half tank).

Weather was 83 deg air 60% humidity and 53 deg water, also very windy and it was hard to keep the ski tracking straight from the wind. With calm wind I think I could have kept the ski tracking straight and eeked out another .3-.4 mph possibly.

I could probably add a touch more to the prop and get my RPM's down a little more. I'm also running 87mm nozzle, an 83mm would definitely get me more speed too. And then there is always the option of going with a Solas prop which should give me a little more speed, but a prop alone would cost as much as I have invested total right now.

It flat hauls ass now. Acceleration is ... thanks Erik!

All said and done the ski ran 76.9 @ 8120 RPM with an 83mm nozzle and the mods below.

    Mod total - $390

    WORX grate - $210

    Kanaflex - $24
    Spectre SS filter - $42
    R&D 4" Adapter - $40
4" Inner Diameter PVC pipe for couplers - $3

    FF Exhaust Pipe - $16 (http://greenhulk.net/forums/showthread.php?t=85295)

    SpeedFreeks Repitch - $55

    Reverse Bucket Mod - Free
    Ride-plate Holes - Free

The 4" air setup is a big piece to the puzzle, Kirk.
