E.F.I with triples, can it work

Hi everyone, well I have a gpr 1390 with pv and was wondering if I can put triple pipes on it with it being fuel injected or does it have to be carburated???

The EFI ECU will not allow enough rpm for pipes.

yeah...you would need carbs and aftermarket ignition.

Single for sure....pipes make power at 7800+

At 7200rpm my tripple runs about 70mph but at 7900 it goes 20mph faster

you can run triples, the rev limiter is around 7400 so you have to keep the rpms below the limiter by using a big pitch impeller

as already mentioned the pipes make more HP at higher rpms so it doesn't make much sense to do this

if you want to convert your EFI ski to carbs I have all the parts for sale that you would need to do this

Once the mapping is done, there won't be no need to switch over to carbs, you'll be able to run your EFI with triples and hit 7800 rpms or more. Great thing about that is you get to control your entire mapping.

At this point it would have to go carb and old style ignition with Advent or MSD in order to make more power then what you have now. Pipes are tuned for 7800+ as mentioned before.

There may be a couple people testing with one off ignitions but at least Advent has promised us this for 4+ years and are just as far away as when they started.

Not doubting what Shooter is saying just telling you that the availablity is nonexistant.

Thanks for the info everyone, so what would I need to do this? The reason Im asking is because my ski is a 1390 pv, that once was carbed with triples and was ported for triples. now it has the efi with a single pipe and the engine feels like its over ported for single. so I dont know if I should just put triples or get new cylinders and have it ported for single pipe.
