Need major help! Stripped bolt head on Supercharger bolt!?

I am currently doing the washer and ball bearing replacements on my 2005 RXT and have run into a problem I do not know how to solve. I have everything in the instructions done except the final bolt that holds the supercharger to the engine (the one in the back of the supercharger). The problem is that I noticed that the bolt head is stripped. Looks like the previous owner (or dealer) tried to remove it and could not. Does anyone have a possible solution to removing it?

I am in a bind and really want to take care of this. It has been itching me forthe past few days that I have been thinking about a solution.

Any help would be fantastic. Thank you in advance.

Grind the head off with a dremel tool.

before doing that go to napa or auto zoo or whatever reputable hardware or automotive repair store and get an extractor. When you grind the head off you always run the risk of not being able to get the bolt out afterwards.

No need for that it will be sticking out just like a stud when you pull the charger off.A good pair of vise grips or stud pliers will take it right out.

+1 , get yourself a good pair of needle nose vise grip and it will come out, do not cut the head or grind it.

There are several threads where people have cut the head off the bolt and then just remove it like a stud. Some have drilled a hole in the bolt head and used a small allen wernch in there to turn it. Others have used needle nose vise grips. To me seems best to use a dremel and cut the head off. Good luck.

dan is right... and after several attempts with the vise grips, you won't have to grind so much.

I've had to do this twice. It isn't that hard, just be careful not to grind into the bolt hole boss.

Also, replace it with a normal hex head bolt.
