    I must be mistaken!

I just looked up the specs of 4 different skis and was amazed to see the weight differences:

    RXT-X 804
    FZR 807
    SHO Cruizer 841
    260 1,062

If these specs are correct, how can the 260 be competitive giving up 200lb.?

I remember back in the days of my boat racing, 200lb. could be worth , 5, 10, 15 or even 20mph.

Please tell me that I am reading these specs wrong?

I believe the 08 250X was rated at like 917lbs or around there. I think the 09s are rated differently or something. Maybe with full tank and all fuilds, etc. The 08 was dry weight. I dont think the new ones are much if any heavier. But they are one big son of a b no matter how you slice it.

    Per Kawasaki website

1062.8 lb. ** Includes all necessary materials and fluids to operate correctly, full tank of fuel (more than 90% of capacity) and tool kit (if supplied)

20.6 gallon tank X appx 6lbs per gallon of fuel = 123.6lbs right there not including oil and other stuff.

That is 939.2 lbs less fuel. Then maybe another 10-20lbs for oil, fuilds, tool kit, battery, etc.

Still heavier than the rest of the competition.

Don't get me wrong. I love the 250X as we have raced them. But a properly set up RXT-X will definately hang with a 250X in the rough & has an advantage in the smoother waters as well. I would like to get my hands on a beefed up SHO & get a comparison also.

Just an honest opinion guys, don't anybody get suicidal on me.LOL!

Well I guess in a screwed up kind of way we are brotha's as you say since I have 2 Kawasaki's as well as 1 Sea-Doo. I do however choose to be open-minded & unbiased so that people who come to these forums for information might actually get something they can take & make logical decisions about recreational or race boats no matter what brand. Happy riding my Brotha!
