    This Exaust Bracket

Do I really need this bracket,I see were it was making the two head bolts On the front of the engine move, causing wear in the head bolt holes.

Yes you need this, it helps support the front U-pipe mount. I have seen the damge done to a ski when the front mount breaks off, not pretty it trashed the case.

I would weld it but the crack is across one of the small bolt holes.
