    What is next Mod step????

    Hi all -

I installed the Riva free flow exhaust on my 07 ultra 250 yesterday. Can someone please tell me what I should do next? I have read about the Riva Valve Block Offs - is this something that is only for racing? I read that this might be something I should have done in conjunction with the free flow exhaust. I do not do any racing (professionally), so I do not want to get too crazy with the mods. I am also considering the Riva Performance Filter Kit.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Block off your blow off valve, advance the timing 6 degrees, do the double bottom inlet IC mod and install an R&D flat filter for under the glovebox. Keep your intake stock for now. The R&D filter along with removing the hoses on the front and rear vent fittings will help get more air to your ski.
A pump wedge along with either a Riva or R&D ride plate will also post big gains over stock.

you removed them hoses ?.. i can see how this helps but i thought they where positioned so that any water getting in dosn't go where it shouldn't so u i didn't wanna risk cutting them down or taking them out . do you just ride in the flat or is that ok in the rough ?

I ONLY take the REAR hose's off,
That way any water from the front hoses is directed away from the air intake, by the hoses faciing backwards.

What will happen if I remove the hoses and the ski turns over in the water? Will it sink much quicker?

I have made some chrashes on skis but never flipped a ski over.. How common is it for a ski to end up upsidedown?

    (I ride mostly offshore)

The ski wont just sink to the bottom , How ever it will let more water in than when it has the hoses on,if it is to stay upside down for a while!

In saying that I have NEVER seen my ski stayed balanced upside down in the surf as the waves always cause it to right its self,
I dont see how it could stay upside down by its self! Not saying it cant happen tho
