"How To" help needed Cat Removal

I have been reading and searching here on what I will need to do on my 2000 GP1220R. How hard is it to remove the cat and replace D-plate? Is there any step by step instructions or pics on how to do this? I believe I can do the waveater clips but I could really use the help on the cat. Everyone here seems be be great mechanics but I just can't afford taking it to a shop!

    Thanks,
    Paul

    stinger removal & d-plate

This is not a difficult job. Do a search for stinger removal. The first time I removed mine I think it took me about 45min. Don't get in a big hurry & you should be fine. You may need to use a torch to heat the bolts holding the cat to the stinger. I sprayed my gaskets with some "copper coat" and reused them. This job should take about 2&1/2 hours start to finish if you have never done it before.
