Yeah, from what I understand this is a pretty rare/ bizarre craft, But I dont know anything about it especially because its a POLARIS... I have never been too keen on polaris/ off brands... but if the price is right, thats a nice 3 seater

The MSX is a great craft and fast for the day. If it were closer to me I would own it. The 1200 is a great motor and easy to mod and parts are plentiful.
Just for FYI a MSX won its class at the 2008 Long Beach to Catalina race. One of the fastest MSX's that I know of went 79.4 It was a 1350 with triple pipes also called a Martix version of the MSX. A good buy IMO..

Rare, well it was was sold for 2003 and 2004 only, so there weren't THAT many of them made.

Bizarre? - it is mechanically a fairly straight forward 2-stroke 1192cc engine, with Ficht DI fuel injection, rated around 135HP.

I have a 2004 MSX 140 - runs well, very smooth throttle response, nice ride, great looks. Top speed (totally stock) is a little better than 62-63mph with a fairly full fuel tank.

Quite reasonable fuel economy (for a 3 seat PWC), good sized fuel tank means lots of time on the water.

Thats about the price range I have seen them at. I have been pricing them, thinking about buying one myself.

Keep in mind that the 2003 MSX 140 models had some teething problems, and Polaris issued several important Service Bulletins.

Before you buy, take the HIN number to a Polaris dealer (or call one), and confirm that all outstanding updates have been done on the machine you are considering. For most of them, there was no charge for the work (at the time), so it should have been done already.

If there are things outstanding in the Polaris Service database, then you need to find out if they are going to cost you money to get them completed, and what they are. Some items were just inspections or simple adjustments, others were replacement/update of expensive parts.

Personally, I think $3900.00 is pushing it to the high side, but if it's minty, then who knows.
