    Octane booster

Is octane booster safe in a 2-stroke? Here's Amsoil's answer.

Thank you for contacting AMSOIL with your concerns.

In response to your inquiry, the Octane Boost may be safely used in 2 Cycle as well as 4 Cycle engines. (Some octane boosters contain alcohol, which may be of
Concern in 2 Cycles. Ours is alcohol free.)
Thank you again for the opportunity to respond to your concerns. As always, please feel free to contact us again if we can be of further assistance.

    Sincerely,

    Byron Selbrede

Is the series 2000 octaine booster safe to use in a 2-cycle hi performance personal watercraft? Many are saying to never use it in a 2-stroke, but cannot explain why. My static compression is 165 psi.

    Rob,
I'm sure you can "safely" use it in dang near anything. That does not mean it will WORK for your application. You are better off mixing in Av-gas than octane booster.

yea you can probably safely drink it too and still live, but i had the same concerns with that stuff as he did.

Probably better off mixing 110 octane gas with 93 to a ratio that you would need. I really wonder about the crap that is on the shelf at wal-mart and every other auto parts store.
