    Hello,

I have a 95 polaris slt 750 that when i start it, the idle goes really high
I checked the main jets as no gas is getting by the o ring gaskets the diapframs in carbs look great and i just rebuilt engine. I was told i had to recalibrate computer do i need to do this since battery has been out of it for over 6 months and how do i calibrate it? Any help would be cool.

    Welcome to the Hulk!

How high of a RPM are we talking about? Is it idling high in the water or out of the water? Not sure what you mean about computer? Do you mean the digital display?

Out of water your idle will be about 3000-3200 will sound really high

    In water 1250 -1500

If it runs higher than that out of the water without giving it gas, you have an air leak after the throttle plate. Head gasket, crank seals, reed seals. This will cause a lean burn down.

If you are not getting gas through the carbs, you will not idle at all.

    Welcome to GreenHulk Dave !

Out of the water it will idle 2500-3000rpm. If you have any air ( vacuum) leaks ,it will idle even higher. On the water a leak could cause a burnt piston. Search this site for the way to leak check the engine.

The display is called a MFD.It shouldn't need to be calibrated, sounds like yours isn't working. Check the fuse in the electrical box.

Welcome Daveb, yes the tripple pump is worth every penny!!!! I have the the same ski, luckly I did not burn a piston. stock pump does not supply enough fuel to all carbs. After the change over to the triple pump and replacing all fuel lines. ski starts up quick and runs great!!!!! John zingler the man to buy from!!!!!!
