    Question SHO Silencer Plate

I was looking thru the diagrams and noticed a Silencer Plate between the tail pipe and muffler. Item number 15 in the picture. Why is a Silencer Plate in here and is this a restriction?

Doing a GPR-SHO conversion, and the exhaust being pieces, I will try and remember to take a look at it and get back to you.

I noticed that a while backas well. Would be interesting to see the diameter of the plate compared to the rest of the piping.

Yeah I have looked at this one as well...let me know what you discover when you look at it....but if the picture is accurate the hole looks to be the same diameter as the exhaust piping...so I didnt think it was restrictive...may be just to take out vibration??? I dont know...

That plate is not a restriction, atleast not in size, it looks like it controls the amount of water that goes into the water box, i've inspected it 'cause i thought it was a restriction.

Cool, I 'll put a positive spin on that then. If this does restrict the water flow then you could say that you could adjust the flow to increase heat a little to improve turbo performance? Just jabbering...

I would think that if you add a turbo you wouldnt want water in the exaust at all??

I remembered to look last night and found out that I seemed to have misplaced those pieces. I think I know where they are.
