Anyone running the SS wear ring sold on ebay?

Just curious,as I bought a cheap ($70) new SS wear ring off ebay last year - from a guy selling a bunch of them. When it finally arrived, it suprised me on how it was constructed. It isn't made from a billet piece of stainless, it is a stamping of stainless where it rides along the impller, but is backed on the pump side by rubber/plastic of some sort. Don't know if the RIVAS are like that or if anyone has run one. I installed it without any issues by freezing the pump in the freezer first. Looks good installed, curious as to how good it is.

I've never used one. But keep us updated on how it works out for you. 70 bucks is a killer price.

Riva's is a solid piece of stainless.

Skat used to make their wear ring like the one you bought on ebay but had too many problems with it so they too went to solid stainless.

My only worry on it is the stainless to plastic interface. Hoping it doesn't spin.
