when your done with your break in tank you can.

Make sure you break in correctly:

    I did:

    15 minutes quarter throttle

15 minute cool down no seat on ski

    15 minute half throttle

15 minute no seat cool down

    ...

    etc.

I did the correct break in and have used about 15 gallons so far. I just wanted to make sure I have enough time on it before I start using my amsoil synthetic.

Hallpass- PM me a cost on gallon of Amsoil HP injector oil. Thanks

I break them in with what oil is going to be used, Last week i broke my wifes in with synthetic went out with throttle up and down for about 5 minutes then it was full throttle after that. I am a big believer in breaking in the rings very quickly because you have a very short gap to break them in correct, You do not want to take forever to break your engine in because some times if you take to long to break it in the rings will never seal right.

I know this is very subjective by some on how to break in a engine but i found this to work the best.

+1 We broke in my friends stxr motor that we rebuilt last winter by idling it away from the dock and out through the no wake zone (no more than 5 min just to warm it up .) after that it was run HARD.

It cracked me up after we idled out and my friend looked over at me after only a few minutes and said: "think it's broken in yet" and before I could answer he was GONE!!... My old man was the same with the dirtbike motors... "break them in the way your going to ride them"...

blend or not, it's one heck of a sludge making oil...that's for sure!!

You should have seen under the PV covers on that motor I picked up....it had been run on yamalube for all 175 hours of it's life.. However, you could still see a nice cross hatch patern in the cylinder walls...so who knows...

Clarify...... is it ok to break in a ski with Klotz r-50. I thought you dont want to break in with a semi for full synthetic because of the less wear on the rings.... I just want to know......Chit i will just use klotz and not worry about using any other oil.
