New 2008 SHO for $11,000...decent deal?

This my 1st post after lurking for a while....anyway, I was looking around a Yamaha dealer in South Florida and they had two 2008 SHO's on the floor(1 black & 1 blue). They were asking $11,000 w/o trailer. With trailer ($800) the salesman said $13,000 OTD. Is that a fair deal or not much of a deal at all. I was thinking of getting a used trailer on my own to lessen my grand total. This would be my 1st PWC & I dont want a toy....maybe just an expensive toy.

    Welcome to the Green Hulk!
Before dropping that much coin on last year's model you probably should take a look at the new FZ series...

I was actually interested in a 2009 FX-HO due to fact that my need for racing is not that important, besides, I will be towing my niece & nephew now and then when they come down to visit. I now am counting on the 2008 SHO to give me family style riding, some days, and the ability of quickness & speed on others.

Then the SHO sounds like the machine for you. $11,000 out the door sounds good. See if they can go $11,500 out the door with a trailer and I'd say you got pretty good deal. Not sure why the price went up 2k just for adding a trailer. He's nuts.

Personally I think you should be able to get a better number. Keep shopping.

Probably tax, tag, and title, and some dealer BS fees.
