    Boaters World End of an Era

    Saw today its all over for Boaters World.
    Sorry to see them go.

    could you be more specific? like a link or something? or a story? I remember the name from way back when isn't this less hall's shop/ i searched but you know how that goes anymore

    but I still can't find any boaters world bad news?

    We were owned by Ritz Camera - they filed chapter 11 a few weeks ago and had to sell Boaters Worlds assets to cover their debt. So we got sold to a liquidator and final bus day is June 30.

    I'm surprised that some Boat/US and West Marine stores haven't closed. In Port Clinton, there is a Boat/US store and a West Marine store within 1/2 mile of each other. It just doesn't make sense... Ron

    specially since they are in partnership with each other
    We have t West marines in my area and I like the store ( not the prices) I keep wondering how long they will remain

    I buy alot of boat stuff from Defenders in CT. They used to be in New Rochelle NY. Their store doubles as a warehouse (or at least it used to). You can shop there during the day and they fill internet orders when the store is closed. That's a great way to save money... Ron
