Yes, these pictured/linked absolutely suck for the ultra. I actually made my own out of swimming pool noodle toys...a little cheesy, buy functional until i find something better.

    anyone find anything decent?

i have a west Marine at the end of my block and a boaters world 15 minutes away... i use the really short bunkers with the suction cups. the problem is i never remember to put them out when i dock.

for the Most part the docks where i launch from are pretty well kept- like my ex GF -lotsa cushioning. I did try a few new launch pads last summer wihich were terrible bent rusty nails, rusty exposed hardware places like that i just have to get wet one more time and dont even bother tieing up just float the ski by the time i get the truck ready it normally has not floated too far away.

the seatow guys normally will put out a fender if you want to ask them a question. the local PD'S WILL IF YOU ARE NICE TO THEM... dunno about the coastguard.. ain't never tried to give that lot any extra nondeserved lip.

They work great, Used them for both my 07's and 08's

There are no better out there, they lock into the rub rail pretty good

YA! My jaw dropped as i read your post! - but you had those pop up cleats though too - i did not, maybe that's the reason.

I could get one on the rear just "ok", but front was NFG. I really wanted those to work as they provided the best cush distance.

You have a pic of them on?

your jaw dropped, mine dropped and then dropped some more!! mkaman did they fit nice and snug on the rails front and rear or as eathshaker quoted only ok but no good on the front these fenders seem to be the only ones that would positively lock into place. instead of the suction cup or hanging types available.
