    Newest family member...

His name is Diesel, and was about to go to the pound. He was raised with a shepherd/ chow mix and shepherd/ lab mix. The larger dogs were a bit older than Diesel and didn't put up w/ his hyper nature very well. Diesel has a huge heart and thinks he is a dog much larger than he really is, and fought to be the alpha dog since day one I am told. The owner became disabled and wasn't able to allow him the activities he once had, and he started to develop bad behavior issues.
We've had him for about a week, and the first few days were rough! Spike and Diesel had to figure out who was gunna be the alpha dog. We have had Spike since he was 10 wks old, and has had the run of the house as his own for over 2 yrs. He didn't give up easily, but did give the title as top dog to Diesel. Since then they have been 2 peas in a pod. Great dogs! and both love kids to death!

Hers is a pic of Spikes mom. Long wire haired Jack Russell, that lives a few houses down from us. His dad had stumpy legs and a soft coat. No pictures of dad.

Some happy lookin' little dudes. I'm sure they are going to have fun. Bet the kid's (kid? i know you have a son) will have fun with them. Are they Jack Russels? They are rowdy lil' guys with great dispositions.
    Congrats on the new addition.
