    pump wedge??

Just wondering, if i run a pump wedge on my 2007 rxt (has no vts) how will it perform?
I know that they lift the front of the ski up so therefore less drag, but what about sharp cornering? I have ridden a rxt-x and played with the trim and you can tell the difference but you have the option of settings. Is the wedge a good all round mod or just top speed??

The wedge is good for top speed, but will lessen the cornering ability a little because you are lifting the nose of the ski out of the water. VTS is a wonderful thing. I added it to my RXT, one of the best mods I did.

I have used it for all around use and like it, but for closed course racing may not be beneficial.

I agree!! Its rubbish in the sea makes handling non-existant especially when OPAS is removed! but is ok if u use your ski 100% on lakes

Gus, may of just been the set ups that we tested them in but over 8 or so ski`s it only suited a 03 185 gtx, the rest were rubbish at handling, modded and stock. cc you would never even look at it IMO.

Exactly right about the '03 GTX 185-hp. I ride on Lake Erie and 90% of the time it's either 3'-4' waves, lots of boat chop or a combination of bith - all in some pretty cold water. The wedge got the bow up with a full tank of gas. I guess that a second rider would do the same. A second rider and the wedge really gets the bow up... Ron

i'm running a 2 degree wedge on my 05, and i have noticed quicker planning, better top end, and noloss in handling. Of course i have other mods, so it is hard to say if the OPAS block offs may be compensating for possible handling loss, but my bike seems to manuveur much better than stock and i haven't noticed any downsides to the wedge
