Starter seized into casing - GP1200

So I went to start the ski after it sat for a while and it smoked a cable down by the starter. Turns out the entire starter body is seized and refuses to back out of the case.

I would love to pull the exhaust and then the engine but someone started to and said it felt like a couple bolts might snap.

Two people have tried bear-hugging the engine and wrestling the starter out to no avail. Wiggles just a little.

    Any recommendations?

Anyone want a modded 97 GP 1200 in Florida super cheap? ugh

The bolts are out. I've had the starter out of this ski as well as my Raider 1100 before without any issues.

I think the snout is corroded. White salty dust flakes off the thing like crazy.

pull the front cover and tap it out against the snout not the tooth part If you try to pry it out there is a good chance you will break the snout off

Do both and spray the crap out of it with WD40 etc.

I thought about tapping it out from the front but wasn't sure I wanted to dive into it until someone else confirmed the idea.

Think a dose of Salt Away would give me any benefit?

Im not sure if the GP1200 start mounts in the same fashion as the 701/760 motors but to much pressure on the starter mounting bosses on the case and they can crack requiring welding work to fix. I would try to remove the stator cover and hit/push it out that way.
