    Broken fins?

I replaced my prop which i messed up a little with a rock recently, and replacing the wear ring the other day i noticed some fins are snapped, what are these for, and is it killing performance or causing any problems?

For it is the Law of the Sea Doo, that if one fin is damaged all fins must be removed and sanded smooth.

Seriously though if one is damaged it hurts hole shot with cavitation, and if you remove one you have to remove them all too restore performance.

They smooth and straighten the flow of water to the impeller. As stated above, if ones broke get rid of the rest of them

Ok....if I sand them down smooth, what would the ski feel like? Do I lose performance by not having them? They must be there for a beneficial reason

From what I've heard, performance is only effected if you break 1 or more and leave the others in there. It will cause your ski to cavitate from a dead stop. So break then all off and sand it smooth or replace the whole assembly.

When you sand them smooth you will notice NO handling or performance differances in your ski..You wont even know they are gone..BUT like the boyz said,IF you leave then in broken like that you will cavitate like a some bitch..Its all or nothing...And dont waste your time with replacing the pump shoe..Its a pain in the ass and time consuming...grind them out and your good as new...

I`d say, "phuc it" and leave like they are. That sheet looks cool.
