    R Rated Performance exhaust kit

Got my FF exhaust yesterday and got it in tonight. It took about 20 min to install...so easy a caveman can do it. The reason I chose it was because you don't have to cut any of the stock exhaust pieces, so I can easily reinstall the stock SS if it's too loud for long cruises or when I sell the ski. The pictures that came with it were of it installed on the FZR, & it looks like there's more room in the SHO hull because I didn't have to use any of the turf on the stock SS to keep the high temp silicone hose from rubbing the hull. Good work Rudy...this kit is definately worth the price of admission.

A bit louder on the trailer(in a good way), but haven't water tested yet.

I have the rrated exhaust as well, it was really easy to install and had detailed instructions/pics. Its loud as any free flow would be
and gets annoying after a few hours of riding. Im thinking of going back to stock to please the wife and adding the riva waterbox to
    hopefully offset the power loss.

mjh3ides, hows the RRated exhaust holding up for you? Its been over a year since your original post and I would like to know if you have any complaints about the exhaust. Seems a hell of a lot better than the riva ff because you don't have to cut it. Thanks.

It's held up great...no complaints at all on this kit besides the annoying drone at 3-4K rpm that all the FF kits seem to have. On the first ride I did have water leaking from the silicone tube where it attaches to the flange on the waterbox, but an extra clamp easily fixed that. Besides not having to cut the thru hull piece like you have to with Riva's & R&D's kit, another reason I chose this one is because it's supported by the foam block that used to sit under the OEM SS box. I do a lot of offshore riding & I'd heard one report of the rubber thru hull piece ripping after installing the Riva kit, which allowed water & exhaust to start leaking into the hull. I figured it was caused by the weight of the aluminum tube bouncing around in rough conditions, but who knows, it might've been a fluke since I haven't heard of anyone else having the same problem. The R Rated kit sounds real throaty when idling & IMO doesn't seem any louder than Riva's at higher rpm. However, after riding Rip'N Tear's SHO with the new Riva SHO rear exhaust, it might be for sale soon.
