Q: To buy or not to buy racing ECU?

    Hi there,

I have installed on my RXP-X RIVA X-Charger Pro-Series Impeller & Housing as well as RIVA 50lb Fuel Injector Kit, spent tones of money… Now I am thinking on the question: “to buy or not to buy racing ECU”. In this respect, I have the following questions to you guys:
    1. What will be the increase of top end speed when switching from stock to racing ECU?

    2. If I switch to racing ECU then how many hours left for my engine before total repairing, taking into account that it is 120 hrs at the moment?

    3. If I put racing ECU do I also need to install Valve Train Upgrade Kit?
    Thank you for your answers...

For what i know up to 8400 no need engine upgrade. At this rpm your gain is 20 hp while to 8600 is 25 hp about.
Your hain is a diff curve of power also.

I have those parts in my ski and its doing 80 GPS and the acceleration is brutal.

The only negative with the ECU is that you loose the double click pre-set trim positions for the VTS.

I would imagine 80mph on the GPS would be in flat water!!!

I think that depends on what ECU you use because my Seadoo Centre ECU for my X still has the pret-set trim positions for the VTS

I personally like it. From a CC point of view it's nice since some of the ECUs out there you need to change injectors which isnt legal for APBA Limited Class.
