    Throttle Adjustment Help

got the new riva throttle lever and no matter which way I adjust it can not get full throttle, yes this a brand new cable so its not stretched. I had the same issue with my UMI. If i adjust it to get full throttle then idle goes through the roof. I'm sure if the inner cable section was shorter than this would work, i called Riva but they were not much help unfortunately.. Also my local dealer said a customer called back with the same issue after buying the riva handle for a 4-tec.

anyone else have these issues on a 4-tec with billet levers?

Can't you fine tune it by also using the engine room adjustment. I have the RXT-X and a Riva fingure throttle and had to also adjust the engine room adjustment to finally get full throttle.

i tried adjusting at both ends guys, the only thing i can think of to do is like beerdart says, but why should i have to grind my new lever i just spent $70 on...

im hoping someone else with the same issue will chime in, maybe get this issue resolved, only thing i can think of is that Seadoo is the only one who has the lever figured out on the X models...must have more bent to clear the handle bars...

jerry, you have these issues on UMI?

You could put a larger diameter drum on the throttle body.

Yep! Every billet throttle i ever installed i have to grind the back to get full pull.

I don't do it like skoepp did in his pic. I just dremel it out a little bit where i put the arrow. Doesn't take much!

    throttle adjustment help

    Hi all,
had same problem with UMI trigger.I ended up cutting a small section out of handlebar grip to allow trigger to come back to bar fully, think that is a better option than grinding your trigger.

Seems like a common problem as of late.
I never had any issue when ski was stock ecu or atleast i did not think so. But when i set my TB butterfly flap to perfect before i mounted it on this last build, guess what happened. I got a nice wake up on the first crank up of new engine build. Not cool at all on the nerves.

As beerdart indicated i removed some material on my finger throtle. It works perfect now, closing all the way and making full pull.

My way may not be the best as GH and others have offered some good advice on what to do.
