My MSX 140 will run about 61 or 62mph on smooth water
My Virage TXi (both of them) run about 62mph (maybe 63) on smooth water.

All GPS measured, not using full superman position.

All are stock, except one Virage and the MSX 140 now have R&D intake grates (650 on one, 750SL on the other).

50-80 running hours each, depending on the engine.

so i know that the slx1200 was around 3 mph faster than any of the 3 seaters so the slx1200 is a 65mph ski??

Was that including the fuel injected engines?

With the stock SLX prop, pump and ride plate?

I have never ridden an SLX. The SLX (and '98 SLXH) hull was different from the Pro and SL hulls - correct?

the msx runs a nu-jet style and is a faster prop, the txi's ran a skat style which is about 2 mph slower than the nu-jet the tx's ran but the fi's turn 100 more rpm to 6800 i thought

I typically see right around 6900RPM at WOT on the Virage TXi, running 91 octane non-ethanol gasoline.

    slx1200 62-63? Lug"s 01 SLX 1200 runs 63mph
    virage tx 59-60?
    msx 59-60?
pro 785 ? Most of Lug's stock Pro's ran 61 -63,depending on how many rpm's they were capable of

The SLXs I've seen are right around 63 in stock form. My race prepped stock Pro 785 ran 61-62 GPS. My limited Pro 785 runs 64 GPS, but gets there very quickly.

    mph

    so a slx runs 63
    a virage txi runs 62
    msx runs 62
    pro785 63
i really thought there'd be about a 3 mph gap between the 2 seaters and 3 seaters or bigger
