    Best way to clean bolt threads ?

    What is best to clean Loctite and other thread sealers off bolts ? I have been using a wire wheel on a bench grinder.

    Wire wheel or tap and die set for nasty threads.
    I have gone through 4 wire wheels so far with my project..

    the die will also tell you if you've stretched a bolt.

    I use my blast cabinet. It's loaded up with glass bead, or the dies work well too.

    I find a Stainless wire wheel on a bench grinder works well and does not damage softer materials.

    Right ! or even on the cheap a wire wheel in a drill
