How to Murder Out my RXP

    Anyone have suggestions?

I guess I would have to get a new black seat, paint the chrome and red plastic. How would I change that red padding in the middle of the steering?

Anyone done this? Please send me / post pics

    Thanks,

    Happy Friday

They make black pieces to replace the chrome and i've seen grey bar pads but they may make black as well..

Sweet, I'm going to look into it.

I guess my concern would be on what type of paint / right steps to go about it. I never paint.

    Thanks

how to murder out my rxp

    Hi,
to paint your seat or handlebar pad get TAMIYA polycarbonate paint(or similar)from a model shop (BLACK PS-5 is what i use).it is intended for the inside of remote control cars so is very flexible and does not crack, undercoat isnt reqd and it gives a good even finish if applied in several thin coats.hope this helps

Get a seat cover for the seat, and get some extra fabirc that matches the seat and stretch it over the pad and reinstall it. I think "Danny" did a carbon fiber look or something for "JP's" Midlife Crisis 2.

The handle bar pad is just vinyl over styrofoam. If you pop apart the black plastic you can just take out the styrofoam and replace the red vinyl with black.

Make sure when they paint the ski they apply a non-gloss clear coat.
