    RXT Oil Level

My 05 RXT had a new SC approx 6 hrs ago from the dealer.Today I checked the oil and it looked milky and the level was at the top bend.Should it look milky when the motor is cold and what level should it be at ?

Milky indicates water in the oil. Your intercooler may have a leak. If you ride in salt water, that can be a big problem.

The level should be in the middle of the bends when the motor is warm... Ron

It has only been in fresh water since the SC rebuild. How hard is it to replace the intercooler? If its not the intercooler how else could water get in the oil?The ski runs like new, no problems whatsoever.I didnt see the stock intercooler listed in the online store.

thats because you do not want to eat the cost of a new stock intercooler it'll set you back some coin... better off going aftermarket which will make the ski run better

pressure test the stock intercooler and see if that's the cause..... could have been water ingestion you never knew about thru air intake, or could be a leaking intercooler

antifreeze level is good? no weird colors in the coolant bottle? nice green color?

Ill check the coolant bottle. As far as water injestion, I have the stock air intake and Ive only ridden the ski in smooth water, so smooth that me or the seat didnt even get wet.How hard is it to remove the stock intercooler and pressure test it?
