    Changes from 250X to 260X?

What are the changes from the Ultra 250X to the 250X? Improvements? Performance? Fuel consumption?

    Sounds like,

    -reinforced hull
    -4 degree timing
    -higher comp (pistons)
    -different prop

    Probably more

Sounds like its quicker all aruond. I have not ridden one but from what i have been reading its just all around better.

    bigger valves
    new colours
new CARB ratings, which could mean better fuel economy, But who cares anyway

    also:
Water cooling line modified to optimize the cylinder wall temperature. A check valve added to the coolant passage between the cylinder jacket and the water muffler shuts the water flow off at over 2000 rpm, keeping the cooling water inside the cylinder jacket

Lower crankcase strengthened around the oil-return passage to handle the increased engine output and further increase durability

Head cover revised for improved appearance

Correct. Plus significantly quicker from 30 to 55 mph. And maybe 2 more mph on top. I do think it is getting better MPG too . . . I don't know why this would be though.

Higher emmisions rating's , they need to tighten up the fuel mapping, IE better mpg

Sounds good. Higher compression would be more efficient and could result in better fuel economy at cruise and still give better peak hp.

i wish there is more Higher compression on ultra. most aftermarket ECU want more compression.

I ordered few days aro JE pistons and few other parts, have to try to get much more compression.
