Anyone have any tips to remove the pins without breaking them?

After getting my lid back from the paintshop I reinstalled & got one of the springs backwards. I was able to get the pin back out using a small flathead screwdriver(like the ones used for eyeglasses) to push down on the little retaining clip while pulling it out.

    LOL ! don't-cha hate those !!!

I used a small screw driver....blade....small and used it to try and keep the open flare end closed and as I pull from one end, try and keep the pin closed while it is being pulled thru. I hate those pins. If I ever break one, I seen some skinny automotive door panel clips that would work as good. Just to help keep the glove box lid in place.

sorta like these. I seen some at autozone. but longer and skinny

I hate those plastic pins, they warp over time and make the glove box difficult to open. Let me know how this works out might have to try it.

I started using something else..I'll take pics later. It's the threaded aluminum spacers..they come in different lengths from Ace hardware and work great, much better than the plastic. Perfect size to keep clearance tight.

This should be an upgraded mod, they remain tight and firm..your glove box feels much tighter when closing and it's almost like a car door now.
