My Rear view cam in the ocean
I was getting frequent exhaust temp warnings on our dana point to catalina run.
It happened once before but then went away. While cleaning up after the ride & flushing, my ski was making BIG noise from the drive line...OH NO! I'm thinking pump bearings or PTO bearing. I found it to be the clamp came off the PTO boot & the bearing was running up & down the shaft area & letting the shaft move more too. I felt the vibration but didn't know what it was while out there so I said "EFF IT" let it die! Well, it made it back. The result of this is what I believe caused my temp warnings.
Here's a clip of my rear view cam, I had the mic inside my engine compartment specifically for the motor so I can hear whats going on....It told me what I needed to know. The 1st 15 seconds or so we are getting clear of the breakers & traffic & then you can tell when we bust lose! Listen carefully to my motor...What do you hear? At the end when we stopped is when I got the 1st warning.
This is a 3rd generation conversion clip so the quality is not quite as good as the original.

I'm using a sony 480 line bullet cam plugged into a samsung scx-105L
It's the only cam I have that will record at 708x420 @ 850 - 900kbps. My other cams record at 640x480 @ 450kbps so the footage is cleaner. This is the 1st time using the cam & I've had it for several yrs & I just discovered I can use it with my bullet cam.
I'm going to use this as the main cam from now on. 1.25 hrs battery life & 2gb of footage at full resolution isn't bad.
