    Need assistance with performance

    Good morning Everyone,

    I need assistance and recommendation to increase 2007 ultra 250s speed and handling.

    I purchased a 250X last fall and I never rode a pwc before then. So, speed is never enough for me, although I have been slowing down over the years. Without reinventing the wheel what performance tweaks should I do to my ultra 250 to compete with a sea-doo rxt 255 and a 2008 ultra 250x.

    I need holeshot, handling and of course top end. Does the RIVA stage one make sense or would you all recommend other mods. I have looked around on the site.

    Thank you for your assistance

    6* mod

    You mention the 6* mod. But after looking at the procedure, I guess the engine needs to be pulled out of the craft in order to perform this mod. How difficult is it of a job? I pretty mechanical, but I try not to move an engine out of position in order to avoid misalignment: Is this an issue?

    the cover plate faces the fuel tank on the front of the engine!

    You might want to clarify what you want out of your Ultra250. It can get mighty steep to try and keep up with the Joneses, on a craft that was primarily designed for rough water performance, and family cruising.

    I suggest you do the easy stuff outlined by the experts, enjoy your increased performance, and then get a smaller, easier to mod, watercraft for your top speed fix.

    Best of both worlds.... Ultra rough water crusher, and a smooth water play thing.

    @louch

    read postings in this forum here.
    There is a lot of good stuff to do on a ultra. And there is big different between offshore mods and only full speed ultra.

    So i think the best way is to take time and to read all postings here. There you can get the best picture off mods you want and you need.
