    What paint for Re-built carbs

    Would any one know the correct paint. Is their any special prep that i need to do before the paint is applied? Thanks.

    Clean all the crap off them first, strip off all the hardware. Leave the carb itself assembled. mask everything you don't want painted. Use epoxy paint for best results.

    Go to your local hardware store like Bill said, Get a can of Black appliance epoxie paint. Here is the ones I did and they look like new!

    did you guys bake the paint or just let it air dry?

    Here is something else I am doing now. a lot more work but they will never corrode again. Alodine coating prior to paint. This is used in Aerospace and marine applications prior to paint. You have to bead blast all the paint off and do a light etch prior to coating with this.

    air dry, And I taped up and painted all the pieces first. I dont like paint getting all over the screws and gasket edges.
