help, did i kill my carb?
i was pulling the oil line off the middle carb on my stxr and i pulled the inlet nipple off as well. i was able to find the little check ball and spring and get it all pressed back in. is that carb shot? how can i salvage this. thanks.

1) It's your lucky day, buy a lottery ticket
2) Put the spring in the hole, then the ball, then the fitting.
3) I did this and lost the spring and ball in my Garage!!!!
Everything should be fine.

yeah, i was floored when i put my hand under the motor and found the ball right away. just earlier in the day i spent 20 minutes looking for a relatively large fuel filter i dropped in the hull of my 96 xp.
do i just press the fitting back in? or do i need to secure it somehow? thanks.

clean it up real well and put just a little loctite red on it. Be sure you dont get any in the check valve. It would probably be best to remove them if you dont have them out already.

carbs are out on the shop table. i already put it back together and pressed it in. should i remove it again to put the loctite in or am i better off not loosening it up any more?
