    R&D ride plate hitting on pump/nozzle on 03 1300 ??

Well I finally got around to putting this R&D 1300R rideplate on my '03 1300R. The back of the plate hits the bottom of the exit nozzle and pump. I've heard of people grinding back there but I thought the 1300R plate fixed this problem. I also thought that shimming the plate down would sacrifice speed in the name of handling. What is everyone doing for this situation? Thanks.

Do pump and nozzle. check for fitment and use/slide a sheet of paper to make sure it does not touch the plate.

yes you will have to grind in a major way (on the bottom of the exit nozz as well as a portion of the pump) in order to get an "angled" R&D plate to fit. By Grinding the plate will then be snugg with the bottom of the pump and virtually "sit" on it.

    Hope that this helps.
