Exclamation Removing oil pan/bottom half ???

I recently had the nut come off of my supercharger.. I have the engine removed and have found everything but the spacer that goes right behind the nut. I am pretty sure it has made its way into the oil pan.. I have all the smaller bolts removed but yet the pan still feels secure am i missing something or is there a trick to poppin it off??? Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

are you talking about the bottom case half? you have to take off 8 threaded aluminum plugs in the bottom of case and then there are 8 bolts under the aluminum plugs that hold the case half and crank in place. not to mention the 18 bolts around the sides of cases but it sounds like you have these out, hope this helps

Yea thats it.. so its gonna be somewhat tricky when you remove the bolts under the plugs is that gonna cause me to have to readjust or anything on the crank.. i have never tore an engine like this in half i am sorry if my questions sound crazy..i didn't go this far when my washers failed last time..

dhoad... do you work on 4 strokes? Have you ever rebuilt a supercharger? I just bought a couple 04 rxp's and i'm looking for someone that knows these machines pretty well that i can pay to teach me how to do my own maintenance. I'm got extensive experience on cars. Let me know I'm in Milwaukee.
