Ouch, a yama powered Kawi is just wrong OK, having said that, the best way is to mock it up. We have done may motor swaps in stand ups and made the plates ourselves. Set the motor in and take measurements. Here will be the big problem, couplers......don't know if yami and kawi are compatable.

yeah i know but its a free good motor soo i was gonn try it, but the yamaha coupler is bigger than the kawi one, so i dont know if i can swap the kawi one to the yamaha motor,

and teh whole motor looks a lot bigger so i dont knwo if it will even fit inbetween the hull

I was told today that kawi couples will fit Yamaha's, but will the 650 yami have enough power to make it woth the time. I have done many 750 into 550 swaps and they are a BLAST. You can pick a 0lder 750 motor well worth the money. Freestyle is a blast with light hull and nbig motor.

THe 750 kawi motor will be a better choice. If you are looking for a running 440 you can buy my motor and part yours out?

FX1 was Yamaha's venture where they put a larger engine in a small lighter hull. Fun ski to ride had a few problems with stress cracks, but the 440 has them too.

They made an adapter plate but I made my own. I "think" it was an alum plate 3/8 to 5/8 thick don't remember. Cut it so it will bolt to the 750 case and bolt to the 440 belly plate. You need to cut holes in the plate to clear the bolt heads sticking out of the alum plate and the engine. On mine I would use a coupler from the early 440's as they were longer and made the engine fit better. As for electric, you will need all the 750 stuff or I just ran MSD total loss and a second battery.
