    FZR Sponsons

I just got my set of FZR sponsons by R&D. Man, I still can't believe how much these weigh. Almost 14 lbs on a scale. The main mounting piece looks like aluminum, but is powder coated and the fins are plastic. I've never seen a set so heavy!

Does anyone have a set of Riva sponsons? Are they metal and plastic or all plastic construction? I need to know.

Who cares how much they weight. How well does it handle now?

Carlos, I care, just gottem and gonna test them this weekend. I'm getting the Riva ones just to compare handling on a closed course. As a racer 10 lbs is a big differance when your shaving weight from a race boat, especially an 800lb race boat, but you knew that...
