Thread: Knock Sensor

Does anyone know if the 15F has a knock sensor? If no, then why not when it could prevent damage? How about the 250x, 260x? and SeaDoo 255's? I know the hondas have one...

It doesn't have one nor is it required. If you get a component failure mode that could cause a problem the timing is retarded as a preventative measure. If you you use crap fuel or have other issues it could in theory knock- then you know what to do, take it in for servicing before you blow it up. I suspect the supercharged unit has more detailed protection. Fuel injection is very precise and many designs have no sensor, so don't worry about it.
