Polaris Genesis i fuel economy comparision
I just happened across this picture, posted by a GH member.
It appears to be a comparison chart for a 2008 Great Lakes PWC trip.
You can see the Genesis i a few times in this
I am fairly impressed with the modest fuel consumption listed for the Genesis i, one of the biggest Polaris PWC (4 seat capacity, 735lb dry weight, 131 inches long).
Fuel consumption in the chart of 5.9 to 8.6 miles per gallon is pretty good, I think, for PWC cruising. Then again, fuel economy was one of the important features of Ficht 2-stroke fuel injection.
The fuel tank size in the Polaris Service Manual for the Genesis i is 17.8 gallons, not the 17.0 shown in the chart. Of course, you never get to burn that last little bit of fuel in the tank, do you
The other two PWC on that trip were 4-stroke engines. Bigger displacement, of course, and a little faster top speed. But thirstier!
Reminds me of one of the reasons I purchased my three Ficht machines in the first place.

I would definately say that my Genesis i gets as good or better than my SLT 780. Definately better than my X45.
