Pump grease change & Electrical Question
Ok, so I'm knowledgable enough to pull my pump and change the grease (I've seen the how to thread)... the only thing I have a question on is... Do I have to pull the impeller to get it all or is it the grease in the cone that I'm after?
Second question... My Honda (05 R-12x) was acting odd last summer, sometimes you'd put the lanyard in and hit the start button the screen would go blank, and that was it... If you pull the main fuse and plug it back in it'll start right back up. The fuse doesn't look blown... Any ideas?
I was thinking about pulling all the connectors and spraying them with a electrical type conductor... (CRC-656 or something like that... sugguestions)? Freshwater ski, bought 6-07 110 hrs.

I use Mercury high performance gear lube.Tested it for one season with about 30 hrs with no problems. I feel the grease is ok but I noticed when you pull the pump apart the grease is not in the bearings it self ,but pushed out of the way!! and oil has a better heat transfer than grease so it keep's the bearing's cool!! So pull the pump apart and get all that grease out and get new seal's
